Aliya is a grade 7 student at Parkview Jr. High, and this is her first year with the Aviv Israeli Folk Dance Association.

She studies all forms of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre and hip hop. She began Israeli dance at the age of 5 and inspires to one day teach and choreograph for the troupe. Aliya also loves making crafts and adores her hamster, Daisy.

Israeli dance is important to Aliya because it is an opportunity to inspire people and show them what Israeli culture is all about.
